bbe software package provides sed-like editor for binary files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bbe
bbe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bbe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bbe *
You will get with bbe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
